01. Touring is tough. You’re almost in a haze because you don’t really know where you are half the time: you’re in a hotel room one moment, and the next thing you know, you’re onstage performing for 60,000 people, then you’re back on an airplane. It’s very hectic and I couldn’t do it without my family.

02. I want to let my fans get to know a little about me. I’m very thankful for everything they’ve done for me so, of course, I’m going to let them into my world a bit. But I really am a very private person, and I love kepping my life to myself-that’s how I’ve always been.

03. I don’t go long without eating. I never starve myself: I grab a healthy snack.

04. The sweetest thing a guy said is that I look pretty with or without makeup.

05. Lipgloss is my calling!

06. My advice to kids is give it your all! Give it 110% and don’t give up!

07. Ghost stories really scare me. I have such a big imagination that after I watch a horror movie like “The Grudge”, I look in the corners of my room for the next two days.

08. My passion is doing movies, and as long as I keep doing that, I’ll be happy. I want to do movies, fun roles and dramatic ones. I love all of it.

09. “The Lion King” always makes me cry, especially when Simba’s father gets trampled.

10. Everybody knows me by this scent called Pink Sugar.

11. Do not just look at your boyfriend as just a boyfriend. Look at him as a friend, too.

12. Back in fifth grade, I was obsessed with Pokemon cards and Beanie Babies! My family and I would be online 4 am in the morning, just to get a new shipment of beanie babies.

13. I just lip gloss! It doesn’t matter if it’s $2 or $30.

14. I’ve always wanted to play Maria in “West Side Story”. My idol is Natalie Wood, and I love the movie, so I think a modern-day twist on it would be really neat.

15. I’m really an outdoorsy girl. People think I can’t go anywhere without getting all primped up, but I love to go camping, and I’m totally fine with not doing my hair or makeup, not taking a shower and just hiking.

16. I guess my parents were strict. There were a few times when being with my friends and had bring my sister. It was just my parents best interests.

17. I sing and dance as well, and I would like to do the whole Hilary Duff thing.

18. If people don’t like me for whatever I do, for being me, then that’s too bad. I don’t want to change to be something that I’m not for other people to like me.

19. This is going to sound really funny. I have a poster of Zac Efron on my wall! I think every girl has a poster of him in their room so, why not join the club!

20. I think I’d make a pretty good girlfriend.

21. I’m not very experienced with boys or the whole dating thingy.

22. I’d like to win an Oscar.

23. I may have had a crush on Zac, but we are like brother and sister, so nothing would ever happen.

24. My first real kiss came when I was 10, and it was in a acting class. I had to do a scene from a movie where someone gets kissed under a tree, and I did not want to do it! But my acting partner wanted me to feel comfortable,so he bought a picnic basket with all these snacks. He made such an effort – and it was cute.

25. I’ve had many nicknames over the years: V, Nessa, Nessy Poo, Nessy Bear and Van. Only my parents call me Van, though, and I hate it. I get embarrassed.

26. So many people try to grow up too fast, and it’s not fun! You should stay a kid as long as possible!

27. Being cool is being your own self, not doing something that someone else is telling you to do.

28. I took piano lessons when I was younger and I’ve been trying to learn how to play the guitar recently. I’d realy like to learn how to play the drums. They’re alot of fun and they require a lot of focus.

29. I like friends who are honest and loyal. They also shouldn’t be afraid to be a kid. I like having fun.

30. The second I met Zac, I thought he was a really cool guy. It’s hard not to have chemistry with someone who is so attractive.

31. Guys act strange around me. I swear I don’t know why!

32. If you have your eye set on somebody, don’t beat around the bush.

33. I’m super crazy hula hyper.

34. My little sister Stella partly looks up to me. She depends on me and I always try to set a good example for her.

35. I want to put like a new genre together. Kinda soulful and kinda rock, and just different, very eclectic. I definitely want to do my thing.

36. It definitely is a love-hate thing, you know. Disney is incredible. And “High School Musical” did wonders and I could not be more thankful. But at the same time, people see me as my character, Gabriella. And I’m just excited to kind of branch out of that and have people see me in a new light.

37. I will show nudity in a film when the time is right. Right now, I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing it, but if it’s an amazing movie that I’m really passionate about and that’s what it calls for, then we’ll see.

38. I think the best part about being an actor is playing different characters. I’m definitely going to revisit musicals later, once I feel accomplished at a certain point, that I’ve gone somewhere with my acting career. Then I’ll go back, because that’s where I grew up – in musicals.

39. I just think it’s really important to try different things. I think a lot of people get stuck doing the same routine, and I’m just not content with that. I love trying new things and doing new hobbies and just exploring life.

40. I think being a woman and being able to show a sexy side is empowering. Being able to show we are comfortable in our skin is a good thing. I totally would pose for a sexy magazine. But not Playboy.

41. Climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge was so much fun. Monique is afraid of birds so she was having a hard time and I’m afraid of heights so was having a hard time, but we got to the very top and it was amazing.

42. It’s so annoying, because there’s always so much hype, and there are always so many people following actors when they’re not doing anything.

43. I don’t really relate to Sa5m that much at all. I was kind of a loner when I was a kid, but I was never dark or anything like that.

44. I became and actress and started singing and dancing because I truly loved it. I did not want to be a celebrity… I think fame is just something that comes along when you are in something that is such a success. Everyone is trying to get into your business. I don’t like people staring at me all the time, and I don’t want people following me around.

45. That is just another reason why “High School Musical” means so much for me. I got to go to my prom for the first time, but it was a lot better. I got to have the prom every girl wishes they have.

46. No-one says it’s the last time we work together – who knows what the future will bring? We’re very focused as dance partners. We want to get it right and we have so much fun together that even if things do get difficult, we still try to churn it out and have fun with it.

47. It was an opportunity to create something bigger – more musical numbers, crazier costumes – and really have fun with it. It’s almost like a thank you to our fans for being so supportive.

48. I was calling her way too much, because I missed her. Back then, I was so shy, I did not want to leave her side. I would call her at work nonstop, to the point where she got fired. It was horrible.

49. For me it doesn’t matter where the movie is set, just as long as it is different. I felt “Bandslam” had a Breakfast Club, 1980s vibe, to it. It isn’t your average teen movie. It makes you think and makes you feel.

50. It was the most difficult dance that I have had to do throughout these three movies just because it is so different. I have taken tap, jazz, hip-hop. But nothing could ever prepare me for doing the waltz.

51. It wasn’t the stereotypical leading lady. The fact that she is Hispanic was something that I found really interesting. She is this strong, positive young woman who is always fighting for the right thing. I am very proud to be part of it.

52. I got to experience my prom, I got to wear a cap and gown for the very first time, graduate with people who I really love, the cast. So it’s been a lot of fun.

53. I’m not confident, but I know if I really, really set my mind to it then I can do it. I do not know what to expect. I’ve never been so excited and scared in my whole life.

54. I always say, deadpan, introverted, kind of darker than people are used to seeing me as. Just wearing black the entire time – doesn’t really have any friends.

55. I like to make a fashion statement by changing up my look with different styles. Sears is a great place for those heading back to school this year because you can find an entire wardrobe of fun looks to suit any mood.

56. The best part of it was the friends I’ve made. The last day of shooting was very emotional because we’ve always been able to look forward to doing something else together, like a tour or another movie. But just knowing that this was our last time as a group was… ugh! I can’t even talk about it. We just kept on crying and crying.

57. My fans were amazing because they have stood by my side. They really are my core group. My family’s always there for me. I just surround myself with good people and try to think of good things.

58. I’ll be twenty-one in December. I’m hoping someone will throw me a big party. I’m just like ’someone throw me a party’ because I haven’t had a birthday party since I was like nine years old so I think it’s about time.

59. I feel that I’m growing up and I’m learning. I’m in control of what’s happening next. At times it’s been hard, but I feel so lucky to be where I’m at now.

60. People become jaded and infatuated with Hollywood. I think it happens to a lot of celebrities, and it messes with their head.

61. It’s all about finding one cool piece – that’s what I do at vintage shops, it’s what I do at home. I pick one thing I really want to wear and plan everything around it.

62. We’ve done the first and second one here, and it brings back so many memories. Just being here feels like home – being back here with everyone, it’s amazing.

63. My look is definitely more dark than in “High School Musical.” I play kind of the ’emo, kept away from everybody else in her own world’ kinda girl. She wears a lot of black. She always has long sleeves with thumbs in them.

64. I did get offered to work at the ice cream store down the street that I always go to.

65. Kenny made his speech and it was very motivational and we couldn’t help ourselves but cry. The tears were just rolling down our cheeks and I’d look at Ashley and she’d be bawling, which made me cry. It was really emotional.

66. It’s these five girls in this crazy fantasy land, but I don’t know honestly. I read the script and I have talked to Zack a little bit, but haven’t really had any rehearsals or anything for it.

67. Shooting “High School Musical 3” has been the most fun I’ve had on any of the movies. We’re all close now and we got to be with each other every day, working, goofing off and just being kids.

68. I used to be so shy that I’d hide behind my mom’s skirt when she’d introduce me. But then I would get up on the stage and just strut it. [To act in musical theater] gave me the chance to hide behind a character. I still get a thrill, a high out of being on the stage. When the adrenaline rush kicks in, I love it.

69. I’m not sure if I actually kiss him in his beast state. I actually, still to this day, have not seen him in his beast costume because they’re saving it as a surprise for me so the reaction is genuine, so I still don’t know what to expect.

70. Honestly, when I was a kid, one of the reasons my parents realized I loved showbiz was because I dressed up every single day in my Catwoman costume. So maybe someday, down the line: I could play Catwoman.

71. It’s so amazing. I have got to travel all over the world with these guys and it’s been incredible. A memory of mine I will keep very close to my heart.

72. It has become crazy, just the fact that we have people following us around. We’re girls with 40-year-old guys chasing us [and] stalking us all day. It’s really weird. But I feel like it’s something that comes with the territory. Unfortunately there is not much you can do about it.

73. It’s all good with Zac. I don’t get jealous – not at all – when Zac gets loads of attention. I do, too. And I don’t mind if girls scream at him – I like to scream along too.

74. Zac is amazing. Everybody else always thinks I like pink flowers – pink roses. I’m like, ‘Red is better.’ I guess I’m a girly girl, so they think that I automatically like pink. But my favourite colour is red. I have it all over my room. Zac always buys me red roses. He knows they are my favourite.

75. We knew it was going to be big, but not this big. It’s huge. But I think it’s because kids have been starved of musicals. When I was growing up I would watch “Peter Pan” and “Cinderella.” Even though they were animated, they still had tons of music in them. I think kids love and need that.

76. I feel like I’m ready to take the next step in my career. I want to learn and grow as an actor, and I’m excited about working with new directors and trying to improve. Right now I’m shooting “Beastly,” a modern-day grittier version of the “Beauty & The Beast” love story.

77. The other night there was this teenage couple in the front row and they were acting like it was a drag to be there. Both Ashley and I sing ballads, so we were singing right to her boyfriend and she was so angry at us. But it was fun. Things like that motivate you to get people more involved.
